Google Pagespeed Fights with Google Analytics
#1
We set up Google Analytics and Google Search Console in order to keep an eye on things such as seo, etc. One thing we see in Pagespeed is a knock about the google tag (gtag) causing load issues. Searching for other info on this, I see it's a problem many have complained about. There are various work arounds and tips. Some say ignore it, some say do this or that. To me, I feel that Google should optimize the gtag stuff so that it doesn't cause issues with page speed. Rather than us having to try to find work arounds or just ignore it. It also has an issue with Google fonts. Well, it's Google stuff. It should work better for these issues.

Since I am by no means a Google Analytics expert and at best, still a novice, it would seem that by logic, Google should optimize their gtag so there aren't additional issues with page speed conflicts.  You bring up a very good point and I'm not even sure what the right process would be to bring this to their attention?  Why would google penalize our font if it's a Google's font, if I got that right?
