Hello everyone! As staff here, I think it helps to put a human face to the person behind the persona. I'll post to this account but I am also KonnexuCE. Before I delve into the business experience, I'll let ya know a bit about me. I'm a mom of two adult "kids", a writer (one published children's book), fan of Stephen King, love horror movies, and enjoy rock music. I am also pro-environment, concerned about global climate change, and feel people should be who they are. I feel that we should protect: endangered species, endangered people, and endangered cultures. I've been bullied and harmed by people throughout my life - but I still have hope and a desire to help who I can, when I can. I also hope to find people that are kind and empathetic, and who share the same values as I do.
As for business: I love tech, love to dabble in code, and love to interact with clients and community members.
I co-own BryZar Web Services with a friend/partner who lives in the Philippines. We got into web hosting because we were tired of seeing people being taken advantage of by other hosts who claimed to provide VPS or "unlimited" everything when they weren't. Our goal is to provide the best service at the best price. True VPS, fully managed, with root access - if you don't have root access, you don't have VPS. My business partner in BryZar was a top third party developer at phpFox and has years of experience with various scripts, and with hosting. He's also one of my best friends online, and one of the nicest people I've met. He hates to see anyone taken advantage of as well.
I was a top manager at phpFox for about 8 years. Posted about 42,000 posts at the community, as data66 originally and then had to change the user name to Donna per company policy that changed. You can still find many of my posts there but some were changed by management to show as posted by someone else. I imagine due to the popularity and following I had there since I went to work for the competition.
I also wrote most of their tutorials in their KB. I think my best experience there was when a client said that I was "mom" of the community.
Always feels good to know that I'm helping folks.
After phpFox, I moved on to SocialEngine and worked there til 2023. I was a manager at SE for years, set up their community and tutorials. Enjoyed working with the clients and in the community. As project manager, I helped to drive improvements and new features for many of my years there, until someone else bought the company. I see that some features I planned were implemented, for the most part. Though I am dismayed at the instability of the product now, I'll save that for a different post, perhaps. My best experience at SE was meeting Tiffany, and also being able to help her with her sites, as well as this new project (more on that later). She's become one of my best friends.
Now, Bello Dynamic! Here I am creating another community.
This one for Konnexu - for Bello Dynamic. I've been having fun setting up this community, dabbling with code to get smilies and icons looking better, posting, and getting ready to roll! I can't wait to see where we go and how many people we can help achieve their dreams and visions for their communities/websites. I can't wait to meet everyone that comes along with us on this journey! Buddy me if you would like!!
